 "Watch the threads" 2010-07-29
By patricjft (Katy, TX)
Mine lasted for a couple of uses. The plastic coupling cracked and the threads on the other end got buggered up. They are not stripped, just looks like they got his by something and messed up. The product works great, just not durable at all. Treat it very gently and will probably last forever.

"Great (if you don't have rodents or wildlife), and works on Weber Q 100/200 series" 2010-07-08
By W. Chang (chicago, il)
I have heard tell of lots of people who have problems with rodents chewing through their hoses. And granted, I understand that "wildlife proof" is a quality that people look for, but you also have to understand that it's much easier and cheaper to make flexible plastic and rubber than it is to make flexible braided stainless steel. As an aside, braided stainless steel looks amazing on motorcycles.

Ahem. Oh yes - the first thing I would mention is that this WORKS on Weber Q 100 and 200 series. I know positively for a fact that it works on the 100 series because I have a Weber Q 120, and the fittings for the 200 series are identical. I won't bore you with the details of all the differences between the series. Suffice it to say that the 120 has arms on the side, the 200 is bigger with arms, and the 220 is bigger with arms and a thermometer. As for the 300 series, no clue - but I assume that the 300 series only takes 20 lb tanks anyway, so this point is moot.

I don't half wildlife at my high-rise complex. As a matter of fact - if the squirrels, raccoons, rabbits, etc. could make it across 4 lanes of busy traffic and climb onto my floor JUST to chew through the hose, more power to them. But...if you DO have rodents and wildlife who like the taste of drippings and gaseous hose lines, I might invest in something a little more hardy. I did not experience any leaking with a 20 lb tank.

Bottom line: choose this over the Weber branded adapters or even the Charbroil/Cuisineart ones. This one works just fine. Just think twice if you have animals who might be tempted to chew through rubber.

 "It Works" 2010-01-19
By MrBigAxe (S. TX)
This hose comes with dust caps on both ends. Both ends of the hose can be tightened by hand, so no tools are needed. It connects a bulk propane tank to an accessory that would normally use a disposable propane tank, like a small heater or grill. It appears to be made very well and works as advertised. It performed perfectly when I used it last weekend on a camping trip.
