After seven months of use the brush is holding up well. It has softened a bit since first opening it and creates a good lather using a variety of shave soaps. In the time I've been using it, it has lost very few bristles and I'm not particularly gentle with it. This is my first shave brush and for the money I don't think you will find a better performing or more reliable brush. The stand is a bit fiddly but it does the job it's supposed to do. I find the handle very comfortable and easy to hold even with wet, soapy fingers and that is important.

This is something I use every day and it's a pleasure every time I do. If you're looking for an economical first brush, I heartily recommend this one over the Tweezerman brush which I also own. This Omega brush is fatter and softer and feels better both on the face and in the hand.

Great brush while it lasted, but the handle came off after less than 6 months.

I wouldn't buy it again because there is no warranty on these brushes.

Had been using a hand-me-down brush that was old and continuously losing bristles. Don't have a benchmark from which to compare this brush, but this is everything I need. Nice and soft, and easily whips up good lather both with shaving cream or shaving soap. Guess a few would go bad after reading the reviews but I am very happy with mine to date.Stand is chintzy but at this price I figured as much before purchase. Gotta go now - I am hunting something else to buy on Amazon.Love the Amazon!!

For years I used a boar-bristle brush and decided to see what all the "Badger hype" was about. I can say without reservation that the Badger shaving brush is outstanding.

This first week of shaving while it "broke in" was a little prickly (as are all natural brushes) but after the first week, it is by far the most comfortable brush I have ever used. It holds water extremely well and produces a thick lather with every soap I have used. The design was very well thought out - in particular the "gold ring" around the base. This prevents the handle from cracking over time.

I have been using this brush for the last six months and when I have worn this one out I will most definately buy another Omega. OUTSTANDING BRUSH!! 5 Stars!!!!!
