"Starter Backpack" 2010-03-16By
Amanda L. Baker (USA)
This is a great starter backpack. I bought it for my son who just bridged over to Boy Scouts. It will serve him well. It was definitely worth the price I paid.
Mine arrived with a little zipper damage. It was a simple repair, but still an annoyance.
"Good "Bug Out" Pack" 2010-02-11By
J. Doyle (Northeast, USA)
I purchased this to use as a "bug out" pack. It is a good size, comfortable to carry, appears to be made well and will fit a decent amount of supplies. The zip pouch at the top is good for your wallet, keys and other small accessories you may need to carry. Overall, a nice product for a very good price.

Used this item on a 3 day trip. Worked better than I imagined. A little smaller than anticipated. But for a simple hike n camp .. GREAT
"Nice pack for the money." 2009-03-20By

I needed a medium size pack for all my snowmobile riding stuff. Pack shovel, probe, spare gloves, snowbungie, etc. I had already spent a ton of cash on those items, so was a little shocked to see that a pack like the North Face Patrol is $150 retail, and only $95 on sale.
This pack is not really in that league, but it seems to be well made. Plenty of straps, loops and buckles on the outside to strap down whatever you could imagine.
Pack has one large main compartment, and an outer expansion part with a partial divider. There is a zippered top compartment which will be great for keys, wallet and GPS.
Some day I hope to be able to afford the patrol pack, but for now I'm styllin' with this cheepo.
"very good low-budget "day and a half" pack" 2008-04-13By
a Goldwater libertarianIt's less than ideal but much more than a cloth sack.
It has just enough "bells and whistles" (adjustments, pockets, loops) to make it flexible enough for weekend expeditions if you know how to pack light.
Two people (experienced packers)with two of these and some stuff hanging from loops did fine in Zion National Park backcountry for three days in 2007.
Hard to beat for the price.
