The RPM offers dual AirCore shoulder straps made of comfortable dual-density foam, along with a fully padded back panel with molded foam cushioning pods for increased comfort and ventilation. The backpack's two large main compartments, meanwhile, can hold everything from books to sack lunches to gym shoes. Add in a 15.4-inch padded laptop sleeve and a front organizer compartment with utility pockets and you have all the storage you need for your on-the-go activities.

Other details include easy-to-grab speed toggle zipper pulls, an easy-access V-loft pocket, spacer mesh bumper pods, a front D-ring clip, a water bottle pocket, and a haul loop handle. Made of polyester hex ripstop, 800-denier polyester ballistic, and scorpion cloth materials, the RPM measures 13.4 by 19.7 by 10.6 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 1 pound 2 ounces.

 "Fantastic well made backback" 2010-05-18
By Darth Vadar (Silicon Valley, California)

I have traveled quit a lot with it and I can tell that is a very well made bag.
I primarily use it to carry my laptop and essentials to office and as cabin baggage.

It is strong and well built. Shoulder straps and back are well cushioned for comfort.

Water bottle holder is pretty big to hold large water bottle.
Only thing it would have been good if there were 2 bottle holders.

 "Attractive, but small" 2010-04-28
By Fitzgerald
I bought this backpack for law school based on its size and attractiveness. The backpack arrived promptly and is indeed very attractive. However, there is not enough room for my (small) laptop and small 1" binders in the main section, let alone my books.

Half of the space of the whole backpack is in the front pouch, which is an awkward shape. Books will not fit well in there. If you do not need much space for books, this would be a beautiful, well made choice. Otherwise, try something else.

 "Good backpack" 2010-03-23
By Bitey (the big one) (Boston, MA)
I had a Jansport I bought at college about 16 years ago that I've returned numerous times for repairs and have loved. However, it's gross and unravelling to the point where it was time for a new bag.
I live a very active lifestyle and I like this bag.
Good strong straps that are comfortable.
Waterproofing works really well so far, no wet papers.
Computer pocket works well for my tiny laptop.
My only complaint is that my prior bag had a tiny pocket, middle-sized pocket, and large pocket. This has a tiny one on top I use for changes, but the other two pockets are both really deep. This is good for a lot of things, but sort of messed up the way I organized things (I would keep things like bills that could wait a few days but not long in the middle pocket where I'd see them fairly often - but now they're deep in this pocket and I forget about them).
Overall, very happy with this bag.

 "I love JanSport" 2010-03-15
By Scott Stoddard
I continue to buy JanSport backpacks. I bought my first one in college and I still use it. I bought this one now that I own a laptop and I love it. I've gotten many compliments on how it looks. The laptop is held securely in place and I have plenty of room left over for anything else I want to throw in there. Ergonomics are excellent and it is padded in all the right areas. I highly recommend this.

 "Bare bones backpack" 2009-12-13
By Stephanie K (Pensacola, FL)
This bag is perfect for those who need to pack large items such as books, clothing, etc. however there are not enough small compartments to accomodate smaller items and keep them organized.
